This is why racism still exists. This joke and misuse of the justice system isn’t perpetuated just to make sure the rich and white stay out of jail when they commit crimes. There is a message here. These actions are allowed to demonstrate that WASP might is alive and well. If we are to believe that the likes of Mike Vick, Lil Kim and Foxy Brown are used to make examples of, what messages are being projected with the handling of the likes of Lindsey, Nicole and Paris?
My honest…? There is a reason white privilege is being fortified. From the revitalization of Don Imus through to Nicole’s laughable 87 minutes of jail time, there is a demonstration of the double standard that tells white America that the Establishment will treat whites better than they will treat Blacks. I believe that most whites, even if they are not vocal about their bias views, nor are they likely to overtly exhibit racism in their daily lives, are just a tad bit comforted in this fact.
My prediction is that in the coming months, there will be a political situation where white privilege will trump all reason and the wrong decisions will be made based on the white male psyche. Just like the attack on Afghanistan after 911 and the Iraqi war.
