Excerpts: WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - John "Junior" Gotti said Tuesday that reports that he has cooperated with the government have put him and his family at risk _ including the danger that he might "get one in my head."
"My family lives in fear as a result of that," Gotti said, apparently referring to a New York Post story last year in which unidentified sources said Gotti, then on trial, had considered becoming an informant and had told prosecutors about crimes he and others had committed.
Gotti said an FBI agent was behind the claim -which he denied -and "should be brought up on charges." Full Story

It’s been a while since the mob was in the news. Heck, it’s been a year since The Post fingered Gotti as a snitch. Why all of the hullabaloo at this late date? It sounds like someone is trying to get themselves on the witness protection list. Considering the lack of mob related news these days, I was beginning to think they were extinct. I guess there’s no longer a need for the Establishment’s use of the big bad mafia.
