Dalai Lama may drop ‘born again’ rule

Highlight: The Dalai Lama says that he may appoint a successor or call elections before his death instead of relying on reincarnation, after recent orders that China must approve Tibet’s new spiritual leaders. Full Story

I really hope the Dalai Lama reconsiders this action. The Establishment’s attack on people who meditate and have a higher consciousness should not be fueled by his attempt at insuring that HE selects a successor. What little I know of this process, the person is reincarnated meaning his ass has got to die before a child is chose and raised to lead. Considering the amount of time it takes to find, raise, train and indoctrinate a new leader, why is he pressed? It seems like a man of his level of consciousness wouldn’t worry about such corporeal things.
