I hope this means "gansta rap" is dead

Well the Kanye West/50 cent battle has come to a close and hopefully 50 will keep his word and QUIT! According to Billboard Kanye West easily beat the snot out of 50 Cent pushing 957,000 copies of Graduation against 691,000 copies Curtis in its first six days of sales. Kanye even beat his ass in the UK! Hoooray for HIP HOP dammit, I'm ecstatic! I liked this "battle." It proves, unequivocally, that people, given a choice, would choose the more artistic product. Sure, 50 sold quite a bit--there are a lot of ignorant people out there--but when given the choice, good music will prevail. Unfortunately, the suits and the Establishment will not change their approach to green lighting music. The toxic, short-bus version of hip-hop plays into their stereotype of Black People to the point where they can point to the crap of rap to exonerate the racist actions of whites like Don Imus and Nicholas (Fat Nick) Minucci. Oh! LOL! Kenny Chesney tried to throw his cowboy hat into the ring in the onset of this friendly competition. He felt that it was presumptuous of Kanye and 50 to assume that either of them would outsell him. Stop laughing. He sold a grand total of 387,000 copies LOL! Why would his country ass want to include himself in a rap battle is beyond me, but doesn't he know that no other genre out there matters if the Brothers aren't involved? He needs to talk to Justin Timberlake, he'd school 'em...
